How the review works

Stockfish 18 evaluates every position of the game for the time you choose (2 seconds by default). Each move is graded by how much of your advantage it gave away, measured near equality in plain pawns and much more gently once the game is already decided (going from +7 to +5 costs nothing, losing 0.4 around 0.00 does). Giving away about 0.3 pawns or more near equality is an inaccuracy ?!, about 0.8 or more a mistake ?, and about 1.6 or more, or walking into a mate, a blunder ??. A missed mate is only marked if it also costs you the win. Accuracy is calculated the Lichess way. The summary also shows each player's average loss per move twice: on the review scale used for the marks, and as plain Stockfish pawns (each eval capped at ±10, a mate counting as 10).

Evaluations are always shown from White's side: +1.50 means White is better by about a pawn and a half, −1.50 means Black is, and #3 / #−3 mean mate in 3 for White / Black. The game report shows accuracy, average centipawn loss, an evaluation graph and the best move for every error, and you can copy or download the annotated PGN.

Batch review

Moves are aggregated for the chosen player in whichever color he played; "Opponents" are the people he played against in those games; "All moves" covers both sides of every reviewed game. Accuracy: game avg = plain average of per-game accuracies (Lichess formula), move-weighted = the same weighted by number of moves.
